Well…

[D]AVY, [P]HIL, [B]RIAN, [S]KYLER & [Z]ACH

[ALL] This one is disappointing. We will not be doing our typical card-by-card rundown here, but instead a summarized changelog. For those familiar with the current digital release of Zarbag’s Gitz and its overperformance, we anticipate that to continue going forward. They’ve been buffed.

Their fighter cards do see a pretty extensive defensive hit. However, their warscroll has found room to cram in every ability they already had (excepting Too Bouncy!) while making room for three new abilities that could each be highlights on any other warscroll. Additionally, two of their existing abilities have improved (Inspire, Volley).

We must assume this warscroll has been printed in error.

We have reached out to GW to voice our concerns. It is our hope that they are already aware of and on top of the issue, in which case we hope to see this warscroll receive a swift replacement digitally (akin to what the Crimson Court have received). Until such a time, we will be strongly considering banning Zarbag’s Gitz from our own organized play activities.

Changelog -

Nerfs:

  • All but Zarbag & Snirk have lost a Save dice on their inspired side. (in isolation, this would be significant)

  • Squigs cannot Scurry but can still trigger the ability for a Grot. (now called “Slippery Gitz”)

Buffs:

  • Squigs are worth zero bounty.

  • Squigs can now delve and hold treasure once again. (due to the removal of Too Bouncy)

  • Full warband inspire at 3 glory.

  • Scurry can trigger multiple times in the same turn. (now called “Slippery Gitz”)

  • Volley is triggered globally. (no 'within 3' positioning restriction)

  • NEW: Grots now deal 1 damage to an adjacent attacker when Slain. (RIP melee warbands)

  • NEW: One-time use, accuracy tool providing +1 dice for each other Grot adjacent during an attack. (expect Snirk to land that 3-damage attack)

  • NEW: One-time use, push both Squigs up to 2.
