Introduction

[D]AVY, [P]HIL, [B]RIAN, [S]KYLER & [Z]ACH

B: Upon their introduction way way back in Beastgrave (...circa 2019?) these fighters were beloved, but their faction deck was legendarily maligned. Belching back onto the scene many are excited to see the Grandfather's gifts beyond the Gardeners.

WARSCROLl

S: A direct port of their classic warband inspire, but wait - with a sweet, new single fighter option! This welcome addition affords them the option to focus a single target with benefit instead of strictly spreading the damage around. That said, their classic inspire doesn't ask for too much and is certainly worth packing pings into your deck for.

D: It's worth noting that the Bile token is given as soon as damage is inflicted, so this will allow the bile weapons to one-shot inspire on little guys.

S: It wouldn't be the Wurmspat without this ability, and it feels great to see it. Noticeably if you want to reduce an attack by 2 damage (down to the minimum of 1), it won't happen on 2-shields but could still happen with a Crit and a Shield if the incoming attack doesn't contain any crits. The other thing to keep in mind is that this damage reduction happens even if Cleave is present. Way cool.

D: If crit/block wasn't enough to stop the attack anyways, that is.

S: HOLD THE PHONE! They have control capabilities now! Hot, hot, HOT!! Big fan of this addition and the choice to make it a weapon ability.

D: Heck yes! I'm curious how often this will really come in big, but I love it.

S: Fantastic! And until used, terrifying to see available across the table. It's one of the few cards you'd take from their infamously terrible faction deck in 1st edition and a potent ability to have sitting on tap from the rip.

D: Breaking news- Skyler likes a push ability!

S: Another control tool. Swoon.

D: While Skyler is passed out from bliss, I'll just admire the blanket of protection this provides. Used early it'll have the most impact, I think, and can really slow down warbands that need the early hits to get the ball rolling.

S: They have grievous on tap too! Shut up! Man, I'm a big fan of Newspat.

D: Strong finish to a really powerful warscroll.

FIGHTERS

Uninspired
S: An extra health over last edition, which with their mitigation I'm genuinely surprised to see. If that was just on Fecula, I'd be less surprised but as you'll see they all enjoy this new level of tankiness. Fecula is a great leader piece, and the addition of Stagger to her range 3 is a nice touch as well.

D: Those are solid starting profiles. The range 3 is a nice tool for helping set up the inspire condition before you fully commit.

Inspired
S: Aaand she gets a second Shield Save on top of it? Wait, surely they don't all get 2-Shield? Sure do! Maaan, can we get a welfare check on our new Kurnothi Heralds...

D: Hey Kurnothi get four sword attack actions, and... wait... what's that? So does Fecula? Oh. Oh my.

Uninspired
S: Your accuracy piece. And yet, everyone always wants to stay out of reach of the hug he desperately seeks.

D: The Gooch! That's a great uninspired attack.

Inspired
S: These fighters are absolute titans. Wow.

D: Becoming more and more speechless.

Uninspired
S: That range 2 might not look like much, but it can certainly help with reaching their full warband inspire and it having the -2 Move control gift to boot is splendid.

D: I knew we'd be on the same page with the Range 2 bile weapon.

Inspired
S: Terrifying. With Grievous, this fella hits for 4 on 4 dice. Titans I say!

D: Wow. Just wow.

Summary

B: From "Legends" to the Big Leagues, this trio is ready to make a big bloated splash in the meta! Titanic stat lines, backed up with damage mitigation, and Bile control mechanics. Forget the faction's maligned deck days, this warscroll is ready to back these fighters up to malign the meta.
