Muhle Privateers - Ogor Mawtribes Maneaters

Descriptions

One of the most unique unit in the Ogor Mawtribes army has always been the Maneater; ogors who have left their tribes to live a mercenary life in and amongst the other races of the realms. This idea, to a large extent, is at the heart of this army. The Muhle Privateers come from all walks of life on the realms, often unsuited to the norms and traditions of their own cultures. So of course there are going to be quite a few Maneaters that choose to follow Crulg, with the promise of meals and fights of every flavor.

While ogors have strong digestive tracts, able to digest just about anything, flying amongst the aether can be hard on their respiratory system. So much like the Kharadron Overlords, breathing masks are stock standard for these sky flying ogors. Weilding cutlasses, exotic ironfists, and blackpowder pistols, they gives the Muhle privateers

Build

This is a very simple build consisting of the following kits. I chose to use the Ogryns because of the simple clothing. The heavy armor available in the kit just didn’t seem right. Maybe I’ll find a use for putting a maneater in armor at some point.

  • Astra Militarum Ogryns - Bodies and heads

  • Ogor Mawtribe Gluttons - Swords and Ironfists

  • 40k Ork Nobs - Back poles and guns.

Paint

The clothing consists of stripes and checks. Pants are most often yellow with shirts in blue. This isn’t a uniform as much as a loose dress code, for each member of the Muhle enjoys the clout of their association when they visit ports. Because ogors models have large swaths of skin I adorned them with all manner of tattoos from the different ports they come from. In my initial pass at this I freehanded an assortment of them. I think i’d like to redo these and be more intentional about emulating specific styles and meanings. One specific tattoo is the mule symbol of 4 M making the spokes of a grinding wheel.
